On 28 October ERA Member Loftus reopened a 1 December 2021 determination that we had previously reported on. That imposed a small wage award on Ms Vegar plus a $4,000 penalty and costs. She resides in Europe and was not aware of this claim until a few months after the determination (through her father who had just returned from Europe), and was therefore unable to participate. It appears to be a rare case of mistaken identity and if so the claim will almost certainly be dismissed.
We have previously reported on this in good faith, but having become aware of the reopening of the Pietras matter we are ethically obliged to make this correction.
