Irony in Palmerston North - by Sharon Ritchie

It is ironic that Justice Helen Cull should be able to send a man to the cells for not giving evidence against the mob.

The Stuff report of this criminal case says another witness was offered immunity from offences including possessing an offensive weapon. That silent man was probably frightened for his life.

This is the same "Justice" that told Mary Scholtens to tell Judge Kerry Smith she "must not" be called to give evidence. Judge Kerry Smith was obviously very happy to agree to that. Different mob, better at getting away with it.

!!!

There must be some little, tiny bit of the New Zealand judiciary that is feared by judges like Judge Cull because it might be honest.

We look forward to that bit stepping forward, if it exists.
