A 14 August interlocutory decision has allowed the use of cameras at a hearing on 31 August. The employer party is Star Moving Ltd and its sole director is Stuart Biggs.
If the director has been named as the second defendant, and Herald has gone to the trouble of applying for in-Court media coverage, and the MBIE Labour Inspectorate is involved in separate proceedings, that points to something Bigg about to go down (sorry, bad joke!)
Here’s a hint: Defiant company continues to ignore order to pay former employee $36k - NZ Herald (4 March 2022)
For more, check out the Herald on 1 September.
UPDATE, 23 August: Star Moving Ltd fined $10,000, Star Nelson Holdings fined $13,000.
